Dagen uppgår, nyfödd vorden för vår syn
Och väckt ur synden jorden helsar skyn
Se´n hur änglarskaror svinga sig från himlens höjd
Ifrån ljusets synder bringa de oss hopp och fröjd
Hören deras hymners klara fulla chor
för jorden uppenbarat hvem här bor!
Här i denna låga boning hvilar himlens son,
som kommit med försoning till oss ofvanfrån.
