Work comment
This piece is a reworking of the Stråkkvartett d-moll [String quartet in D minor] composed in 1887. The title 'Sommarminnen' [Summer memories] was invented by the composer herself. The longer title 'Sommarminnen från Bjurslätt' [Summer memories from Bjurslätt (a district in Gothenburg)] was introduced at a later date by Elfrida Andrées niece, Elsa Stenhammar
