Work comment
The manuscript includes a note by Franz Berwald's son Hjalmar stating that as far as he can remember, this Concertino was composed for Christine Nilson [i.e., famous Swedish soprano Christina Nilsson, Countess de Casa Miranda (1843-1921)] when she stayed with his father.
This fragment is Berwald's last chamber music work!
