Work comment
Part of the annotations in the score: After no. 1: "Segue la Cantata". No. 2: "Questa Intrata, per far l'effetto convenevole si deve prendere assai largamente e con dignita, ben differenziando il forte ed il piano, e usando de tratti d'arco lunghi ed efficaci." After No. 2: "Segue il Te Deum".
According to the annotations in the parts material, the work was performed at the concert organized by the Royal Swedish Academy of Music for the benefit of the military hospital in Stockholm on 21st December, 1816, viz.:
