Work comment

In the complete autograph, the hand in nos. 1-4 differs much from the one in no. 5, which makes it obvious that Hägg composed the fifth piece much later, possibly close to the work being printed. (There is also an empty sheet of stave paper in the manuscript.) Supporting this theory is also the fact that the dating is placed after the fourth piece instead of the fifth, and not least the fact that one of the autographs bears the title Fyra Fantasistycken [Four fantasy pieces]. In that autograph, movement no. 4 has the title Scherzo-Arabeske [Scherzo-Arabesque]
