Work comment

This song was originally set for choir with piano accompaniment. The adaptation for large orchestra was made in Sveg in July 1909.
According to the inscription after movement no. 1 in the score for small orchestra, that version is dated Agön [a small island in the Bothnian Sea, near Hudiksvall], 3 July 1912
