The score shows a motto for the Quartet: Suavitas harmoniae multos mitigat dolores.
It also includes the following information: In 1867, [it received a] Mention honorable by Hofkapellmeister [Julius] Rietz in Dresden, Kapellmeister [Niels W.] Gade in Copenhagen, and the Swedish Art Music Society in Stockholm [also by August Söderman, at the time choirmaster at the Royal Opera in Stockholm].
Furthermore, it mentions that only this work was submitted in the competition.
