Work comment
According to van Boer, the works is meant to be performed as one piece, but consists of two separate movements.
Sats I, Largo, reused in Sorgemusik över Gustav III [Funeral music for Gustav III]. II Funeral cantata (VB 42).
Sats II, Alla capella [sic], is composed by Johann Georg Albrechtsberger (second part of the overture to 'Die Pilger auf Golgotha') and revised by Kraus, who was given the fugue by the composer in 1783 (according to van Boer).
