Work comment

In Musikaliska uppsatser och kritiker [Music essays and critics] Ludvig Norman writes [approx.] that the demands put on the composer's creative abilities in the Andante and Bolero exceed [those of his 'Fem studier för Violin-solo' (Five Studies for Violin Solo)], and he excels. This composition is very sweet-sounding, as well as well put together. /.../ Already from the first few bars it became evident that this work was not made by any budding composier. On the contrary, it points to a maturity that cannot be achieved without extensive studies and a sharpness of mind. A certain popularity when it comes to execution makes the composition even more enjoyable.
