On the last page of the score autograph, Peterson-Berger has written:
N.B. At the rehearsals and also after this work's first performance, the composer has made some alterations, of notes as well as of tempo and other musical markings, which have not been added to the orchestral parts. He would therefore ask every conductor to kindly see to it that the parts conform with this score.
