Work comment
This piece was originally included as movement no. 2 in the Serenad [Serenade] Opus 31 for orchestra. After its first performance in 1914, Stenhammar removed this movement and revised the others before the Serenade was performed in 1920, now in Gothenburg. The 'Reverenza' has since been performed as a separate work on a couple of occasions.
