Work comment
According to the printed music, the song is about the battle of Lena (now Kungslena) in Västergötland (a province in Sweden), in 1208. The original text, which has been somewhat altered by the composer, means approx. "This is what happened at Lena: two Danes on the run got beaten on their behinds by the Swedes".
This song also exists in a setting for mixed choir a cappella (T.T.B.B.). See separate post for that version.
