Regional branch of Sveriges Spelmäns Riksförbund (SSR) - (Sweden's National Folk Musicians' Association) with collections of local folk music.
Norrbottens spelmansförbund is a non-profit association which, among other things, is tasked with finding and making available traditional music that has been played in Norrbotten. As part of this work, a number of tune books have been produced in recent years, as can be seen on the website. Thus, we do not have a regular archive, but a fairly extensive collection of tunes that have been played in Norrbotten.
We do not have a dedicated web page at the moment, but songbooks can be ordered on request.
We have also expressed an interest in participating in the project "ICH North - Passing on our cultural traditions", which is intended to lead to a "northern cooperative network for the intangible cultural heritage of folk music". The project's leading partner is Centria University of Applied Sciences and ther partners include Finsk folkmusikinstitut and the Arctic University of Norway, as well as Framnäs Folkhögskola, Norrbottens spelmansförbund and Sámi Music Academy.
