    According to Hedwall, Byström was not present at the premiere (nor at the second and last performance on 30 May).

The plot is set in the archipelago.

The stage represents a lawn with trees. There is also a table with sheets of paper and writing utensils.

Scene no. 3: [No. 2] Anna has entered, crying with fear. She takes out the tobacco pouch she has had hidden under her apron, placing it on the table. She turns her cheek to Nauclerus so that he may kiss it. She leaves. Anna, Nauclerus

Work comment

Pinello's play was set to music by Carl Gustaf Wasenius already in 1855, under the then title 'Bouppteckningen' [The Probate]. According to Hedwall, the reason for Byström's work could have been his wish to give his daughter Anna a suitable role as a young girl. It was, however, her first cousin Ida who created the role as Anna.

According to the Åbo Posten (a Swedish language newspaper published in Turkku, Finland) no. 5, 15 January, 1874, this operetta was to be offered to the Finska Teatern [Finnish Theatre], in a translation into Finnish and under the title 'Pekka Wiiri'.
