Web Resources

Webbfiol
Audiovisual folk music database on the Internet. Today, more than 80,000 tunes, songs, interviews and dance recordings (audio, video, scanned handwritten material) are made available. Through agreements with copyright holders, just over 30,000 of these are published on the Internet. Most of the other material is accessible in Folkmusikens hus' research room, which is open by arrangement. Information on availability and distribution of different types of material appears on webbfiol.se and is continuously updated.

Spelmanspodden
Topical podcasts within the field of folk music which are produced in collaboration with Dalarnas spelmansförbund.

Geographic Provenances

Due to Folkmusikens hus's regional focus, the majority of the archive material relates to Dalarna. Archival collaborations with spelmansförbund and regional and municipal archives in Gävleborg and Uppland have more recently led to a broader geographical coverage. To a lesser extent, there are also sound and video recordings from other provinces of Sweden.
