Work comment

This Quintet is a version of Atterberg's Symfoni nr. 6 [Symphony no. 6], the so-called "Dollarsymfonien" [The Dollar Symphony] from 1927-28, which gave him the win in the 1928 International Columbia Gramophone Competition, held on the occasion of the Schubert Jubilee the same year. (E.g., Franz Schmidt was among of his competitors.)
