There are two variants at the Musik- och teaterbiblioteket:
Variant no. 1:
 Finale in F minor (alla breve) comprising 469 bars.
Variant no. 2:
 Here, the Finale is largely identical to the Finale of the Sestetto pour Clarinette, Cor, Violon, Viola, Violoncelle et Basse (Sextett för klarinett, horn, violin, viola, cello och kontrabas [Sextet for clarinet, horn, violin, viola, violoncello and double bass]), Opus 6, which exist in a modern edition from Amadeus Verlag. (See separate registration of this work.)
In part, bars nos. 72-79 show a different melody compared to Variant no. 2 of the String Quartet/Sextet for wind instruments and stings. In the manuscript at the Musik- och teaterbiblioteket the two works are identical until the fermata in bar no. 219. In the Sextet for wind instruments and strings, there is a coda of 14 bars, which is also cited at the beginning of the movement, whereas in the String sextet, there are an additional 28 bars, extending the movement to 261 bars
